CHAENG slag powder production line customers requires technology and also explicitly require adopt DCS control system and not PLC. As for the control system, we always hear the term of DCS and PLC, many people will think that DCS is PLC, PLC is DCS, so DCS and PLC what is the difference between them? CHAENG will tell you in details.

What’s the difference between DCS and PLC control system?

Simplely speaking, DCS is system, PLC is equipment, these two can not comparable, PLC is a kind of product, it can constitute DCS with the SCAOA system.

1, DCS is mainly used for process automation, PLC is mainly used for factory automation. Fromthe view of the computer and network point, they are unified, the reason why they are differences, which is mainly in the application of demand, DCS often require high control algorithms, such as in the refining industry: PLC has high demand in processing speed.

2, PLC system that is programmable controller, it is developed from the relay logic control system, suitable for industrial field measurement and control, on-site monitoring and control function, stable performance, high reliability, mature technology, widely used, and the price is reasonable.

What’s the difference between DCS and PLC control system?

3, DCS system that is scattered control system, developed from the process control, which is the 90's international advanced level of large-scale control system.

4, PLC can simplely achieve the logic function and control, which can not provide man-machine interface to achieve the operation with the button lights, HMI and SCAOA system; and DCS has both PLC and SCAOA system functions, but basically used in relatively large system and some high control requirements system.

In the future, CHAENG will build the central control hall, the leading information technology would be used in industrial grinding field, in order to achieve the grinding production from "Made in China" to "China technique made" change.
