The slag pot is an important equipment for steelmaking in the metallurgical industry, and is a container for holding high-temperature slag produced in the iron and steel smelting process. Because it is a high temperature slag, the requirements for the material of the slag pot are very high. Commonly used materials are ductile iron and cast steel. The performance comparison between the two material are as follows:
1.Slag pot performance strength: the tensile strength of spheroidal graphite cast iron slag pot (QT400-18) is greater than or equal to 400mpa; the tensile strength of cast steel slag pot (ZG25) is greater than or equal to 450mpa;
2. Slag pot heat resistance: ductile iron slag pot has good plasticity and good heat fatigue resistance; cast steel slag pot has strong heat resistance, good plasticity, and less cracks after rapid heating and cooling;
3. Slag pot deformation: brittle material ductile iron is not liable to deformation; plastic material cast steel is relatively liable to deformation and has good tensile strength and impact resistance;
4. Adhesion of slag: Ductile iron slag pot is not liable to adhere to steel slag, and the adhered slag is easy to clean. Cast steel slag pot is easy to stick steel slag, the adhered steel slag is cleaned through oxygen cutting.
