To reduce the blast furnace smelting temperature, a certain amount of limestone or dolomite needs to be added as a flux. The product produced by the decomposition of the blast furnace and the waste ore in iron ore and the ash in coke are melted and floated on the surface of the molten iron, and then quenched by air or water to form granular particles. This is slag. When the slag exists, it is basically non-hydraulic, but after being stimulated, it will show hydraulically fine slag powder. The slag containing more SiO2 is acidic slag, and the one containing more Al2O3 and CaO is alkaline slag. The activity of alkaline slag is higher than that of acidic slag.
Slag milling is generally processed to a specific surface area of 300-500㎡ / kg., which meets S95 and S105 concrete standards.
The production process varies according to the different materials, demand fineness and application, so it needs flexible operation. For details, please consult our online customer service.
The first stage: Crushing
Large pieces of slag are crushed by the crusher to the feed fineness of the mill (15mm-50mm)
The second stage: Milling
The crushed small lump coal is sent to the silo by the hoist, and then sent to the grinding chamber of the Vertical Roller Grinding Mill for grinding evenly and quantitatively by the vibrating feeder.
The third stage: Grading
The pulverized materials are classified by the classifier, and the unqualified powder is classified by the classifier and returned to the host for re-milling.
The fourth stage: Collecting
Fine powder complies with the fineness with airflow go through the pipe into the dust collector for separation and collection. The finished powder collected by the delivery device is delivered to the finished product bin, and then packed uniformly with the powder tanker or automatic packing machine.
